Hi all,

I have an issue that I have unsuccessfully tried to troubleshoot including updating all apps and it has not been resolved. I am hoping the community and moderators will have a solution.

My S25 updated a few weeks ago (I have updated it since too) and since then I am unable to log into any of my bank apps. I have several of those (e.g., PNC, BMO, US Bank, Chase, etc.).

My phone lock is a pin, but also fingerprint. My bank apps have always been in my secure folder and I used to be able to choose from the app to use biometric signin. However, post the mentioned update when I am logged into the app and try to use to toggle to start logging in with my fingerprint from now on, the app returns the toggle to not enabled and advises me That biometric info is disabled and I need to enable from phone settings. However, in phone settings my phone login has both pin and biometric login enabled.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Thank you!

Not sure if this pertains to secure folder, my banking app is now 2 factor when using biometrics, fingerprint plus pin is new way I have to sign in.

If I recall correctly I had to initially sign in with my password then asked if I wanted to use biometrics then it also asked for my screen pin.

Thanks. Yes, some of my bank apps ask for a pin and that part is still working. The issue is I am unable to enable the biometrics for the app sign in despite using it for me phone and having used it for the apps before

You might have to clear data and start fresh in the banking apps.

Thank you. I even reinstalled some, but this didn't work. Bawaji's tip above solved the issue.

Just Fingerprint ID, is still satisfying banking needs. Which makes things simpler for me..

My bank requires both!

Print and pin, or just password.

When you are in your Secure Folder, you will have to reteach your fingerprints. For me, after the One UI update, the taught fingerprints disappeared in the Secure Folder.

In the Secure Folder, click on the three horizontal dots at the top right corner, click on Secure Folder lock and biometrics, click on Fingerprints and add your fingerprints again.

Once you add your fingerprints, the bank apps will provide the option of using the fingerprint to open.

I never had to to this before. But this worked.

This has been such a frustrating issue post-update. Thank you SOO much!

After a major update many apps either require you to log in manually the first time and then renable or reset the biometric.
