This phone is not worth the purchase. Samsung is putting all its efforts into using AI and Google for surveillance/data harvesting. They've lost interest in providing a phone that has simple functions and letting you keep your data private.
Buyer beware, this phone has major issues that do not get resolved. Group texting doesn't work, text magically dissappear, pages freeze up mid use, and the camera is overloaded with AI enhancements and the picture quality is terrible.
Another phone company needs to come out and offer a quality phone with minimal surveillance, put the SD card back, no clouds, simple functions and a great camera. Samsung has taken the wrong path.
It's a two edged sword. That same tracking data that can harm you can also save your life or find you if you go missing. Technology is neither good nor bad, it's the bad actors that make it bad.
I mean there ARE options for either a dumbphone without the 3g, 4g connection, they even have proprietary OS's however gross they are to use, there's still no harvesting happening if you have no data connection. The more popular route is going with a dedicated privacy smartphone. None of the known branded ones-those are bs, I mean the companies that crowdfund, make 1 model but ultimately go out of business since not that many ppl actually care about basic data being used. I know I don't. I opted in to customization services from Samsung and Google.
