This is getting ridiculous waiting for an update for unlocked s25 ultra. Still being on December security patch for your flagship phone is **bleep**! Unlocked phones should get the updates first if anything. Samsung is becoming more of a joke every year. Better hope some of the Chinese brands continue to not go global. If they do you are going to have major losses

Perhaps they are waiting for all the issues to be reported so they can compile one update. Are you having issues, or are you just perturbed because you haven't had an update? If you are having issues, did you put in an error report? If they don't know about your issues, they can't fix them - and, they cannot read your mind.

Agree that this could be the case and not all that wound up about it.

The other thought I had is that carriers might be prioritizing locked phone updates over those of us with unlocked devices... who are MVNO subscribers, riding on wholesale carrier infrastructure bandwidth.

I must agree Samsung has been dropping the ball lately.

This is nothing new. Most smartphones use android and Google runs android
Google phones will get update right when they are released. Other manufacturers have their own OS built upon android, and therefore have to adjust the updates to function on their OS. This has been my experience going back to my first device from Samsung, the S7.

Oneplus is pretty fast because the Oxygen OS is really close to Google's own android build. I owned one between Samsung phones.

Also, the S25 series is a a whole different chipset & OS than the previous S series lineups, so they will be more easily updated.

I don't understand. Why do people seem so bent out of shape about not getting the latest security patch, or feature update for that matter, on a device that is working properly, that may not be at a higher risk as other devices on other networks, and will be updated due time, if needed? Is it FOMO? A feeling that you're not getting something you were promised and/or paid for?

Samsung never promises to deliver an update by a specific date.

This is a forum for Samsung users to assist other Samsung users with their Samsung products and devices. Spreading such negativity does nothing to change the situation. It would be better to provide your feedback to Samsung directly via the Support tab in this app under Quick Help and I encourage you to, please, do so.

Is not about spreading negativity it's about getting what I pay for. And yes the phone does have some bugs and the bugs are generally fixed by updates. Considering it's an unlocked phone Samsung is the one controlling this phone not the carriers. Why the **bleep** should the carriers get their updates first. I didn't buy this from a carrier I bought it directly from Samsung they should update their own s*** first

It's beyond me why unlocked variants are the last to receive updates. I simply don't buy, "The carriers need to make sure the update is good to go on carrier branded devices to ensure compatibility".

Because that's one of the perks (the only perk?) of buying a carrier locked phone--you get updated first.
