Anyway to make the message notification time be the time of the recent message?

Currently, if you receive a message at 6:30 AM and then another message at 12:30 PM from the same person, in the notification it will say that the message was still received at 6:30 AM.

This makes it very confusing, for me atleast. I just want the time shown in the notification to be updated with the time of the most recent one received.

I do notice that with notifications, if multiple responses or notifications are received from a single app, the messages stack in a single bubble,

however, in the upper right of a stacked bubble there is a small downward arrow under the number of notifications indicator. Tapping the arrow will separate the messages and the time stamps of the individual notifications are correct.  When they are stacked, It looks like the bubble shows only the time stamp of the newest notification.  Also, in your messaging app, the individual messages will have the correct time stamp.

Go to phone settings > notifications > sort notifications and change to "by time"

See if that resolves for you ā¤
