Hey All,

Is there a means to change the battery charging indicator in the notification areas to be opposite contrast. It is very difficult for me to see the indictor with black numbers on a white background.

Since my s24 ultra update on April 27 2025 the battery icon at the top right changing to this unreadable icon instead of the ease of ability to visually see ๐Ÿ‘€ the prior format it replaced, has been my biggest gripe. I might as well remove the battery indicator altogether from the phone. And the biggest fix for this is to install a widget on my home screen??? That's like saying my new tesla car has unbalanced wheels and so I put my car on a trailer and pay a guy with a truck to pull me around, easy fix..

You cannot, which you would have discovered had you read any of the previous responses to this post.  You can only hide it and then add a battery widget to your home screen.

Samsung are really starting to annoy me because there are masses of posts and comments about this issue which is months old and ive had TWO firmware updates and not a fix, so does anyone of the admin on here actually report these issues? I've had more galaxy's since the S3 than I care to remember and unless this is fixed soon this will be my last one.

Yes exactly the same. I used to like Samsung because it was so customisable, but now they seem to have taken away SO MANY user controlled options that I am now considering moving to Apple ๐Ÿ˜ž

The phone is still customizable, except for the battery icon. Indicator icons on the status bar?  They are still visible, but they have been moved to the secondary status bar, and you will see them when you pull down the top of the screen.  You can hide the battery icon and exchange it for a battery widget on your screen.  If you don't know already, here are some things you can change back:  https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Things-you-can-change-back/td-p/322806...

So, you are considering going to Apple because you feel you can no longer customize your Samsung?  Good luck with that, as I understand that Apple has zero customization options.  If you are frustrated that  you can't customize one, why would you switch for another  you can't customize?

PHUQUE NO! To your APPLE question! NEVER!

However, I may go ahead and ROOT + FLASH my S22, with a known good ROM!

I'll do this over spending another THOUSAND DOLLARS PLUS on ANOTHER sandwich sized mini computer , that doesn't respect MY rights and desires. In fact, I have MULTIPLE older NEW phones I've never used, including a NICE Sony that I accidently purchased TWO of, thanks to bad timing with a wife trying to be helpful. Long story that would be funny, if not such an expensive lesson learned!

I am enjoying the S25 with the exception of the unreadable battery icon! It seems the feedback option has been either hidden or eliminated on this website, so I am voicing my opinion here. If anyone from Samsung is monitoring this forum, please prioritize a battery status icon that is actually readable! What was the matter with the x% and green battery icon from previous version? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! In this case, Samsung has taken a few steps backwards with this tiny icon decision.
