I'm not sure why my Brightness is low, since it's brand new and the ultra, but I have,

Adaptive Brightness off
Powersaving off
Extra Dim off
Extra Brightness on
QHD+ On
Screen Vividness- Max Vivid
I noticed that when I toggle Extra Brightness on and off, it doesn't do anything. Also, I held it next to an S23 Ultra and that looked brighter.

I have the same issue. I'm really quite frustrated that my s24 ultra that is supposed to get 2400 nits of peak brightness gets the same brightness as my Galaxy Tab S9 that is only capable of a maximum of 1,000 nits Peak brightness. This is after a factory reset, mainly because I forgot my pin on my phone but I didn't really that's a whole another story, and then accidentally forced a factory reset on my tablet first.

I find I'm using my Tab S9 way more than my S24 Ultra because it works better and has far fewer issues... In fact I've had zero issues with it. Wish I could say the same thing about my phone.

OK, so you've disabled the automatic brightness settings, but you haven't said that you manually attempted to turn up the brightness. My S24U is easily viewed in direct sunlight.

Out of curiosity have you noticed any issues when it gets hot? I've been researching this issue and others have suggested that it might be heat related. At this point I just want to figure it out.

To be honest,  yes. If it gets hot, which it often does,  the max brightness drops significantly.  Very disappointing experience so far...

Yes, easily viewed. However it should still be brighter, have you ever tried watching a dark movie in direct sunlight? Or even just a movie not even a dark one in direct sunlight? It's almost like looking at a black screen with moving Shadows. I can actually see more on my tab S9 even though it's really bad indirect sunlight then on my s24 ultra.

My S24 Ultra will be bright in direct sunlight for about 30 seconds before it starts to fade and won't stop until you can barely see what's on the screen. I have everything disabled that the OP mentioned and nothing seems to work. I've cleared the cache many times without any change. This is the first Samsung device that I've had issues with and if I can't get a solution it will be my last. I think Samsung should adopt a bi-annual release of their devices so that we get a well thought out, fully tested device instead of these half baked, bug infested, beta models.

At least in yours that sounds like it might be a faulty light sensor. Try contacting Samsung.
