@Justice757 I'm guessing that you are sending them via text message? SMS/MMS does not have the bandwidth to send large files. If you have RCS enabled at both ends, you can send larger files.

But if you want to send video files, use QuickShare and send a link. Or post it on a cloud storage and share the link. OR use a messaging service designed for large file transfers (WhatsApp, Signal, FB Messenger, etc.).

As far as I know iPhone doesn't have quickshare. Will a link be available to them?

@Justice757 Yes, the link would work even for iPhone users.

@Justice757 You may have RCS on while the user you are texting is on SMS. If there's no chat icon next to a person's Pfp, The conversation is in SMS/MMS.

I found that some of my friends that have iPhones honest don't even know to check for updates they just let Apple do it's thing with auto updating after a while, so when iOS 18 came out I have been reminding some of them to update that it has better messaging support and allows for higher quality photos and videos to be sent between Android and iOS and that has worked for me but for those that don't @LongHiker response to be spot on šŸ‘šŸ¾

Imo you need a different app that allows larger files. Telegram, for example, allows sending files that are up to 2GB in the free version last I checked.
