I first noticed there was a problem when I attempted to install a Ring camera.  I tried everything, but it would not connect to the camera for the installation.  Return the camera, and the new one had the same problem.  Contacted Ring support, and they suggested using a different phone.  The camera setup/installed, no problem, using my husband's S21.  Same problem when I atempted to set up a smart plug at my father-in-law's home.  Could not find the device with my S24, but his S10 completed the setup without any issues.  Finally, my sister purchased Arlo cameras, same issue.  We used her phone, which is a S23, and we were able to install both cameras.  The problem occurred at three different locations, with different wifi providers.  Samsung technical support factory reset my phone twice, but recently I was unable to set up Ring light bulb or TP smart plug.

@Tweedy-07 In my experience you need to turn off some settings when you are setting up these devices.

  1. Open phone settings
  2. Click on Connections
  3. Click on Wifi
  4. Click the 3 dots in upper right
  5. Click on Intelligent Wi-Fi
  6. Turn off the settings "Switch to mobile data" and "Switch to better Wi-Fi networks".

Also, make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.

Has anybody else have trouble with SmartThings connecting to the Samsung Cloud? I am constantly have issues and when it finally connects I have to go in circles trying to get everything to work. While using the cloud was a good idea, functionality it is awful. Is there a fix for this ongoing problem?
