If you're used to Samsung phones switching might be a rude awakening. I just got a Galaxy S25+ (I didn't want the pen) for me and a Pixel 8a for my husband. IMHO the pixel is very confusing. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually but in general I've found Samsungs good products and pretty intuitive. My first cell was an Apple 3S then 4S while I was using Apple laptops. Got tired of dealing with Apple's proprietary culture and insistence on new cables with every new device. Switched to LG K30 (which my husband still uses) phones and Windows PCs. Then Chromebooks and Galaxy A13 which was stolen and replaced by Galaxy A14 5g and now I have finally updated to S25+ with Pixel 8A for him. I have a new Galaxy Chromebook Plus and an older Acer Chromebook 315, and 2 Samsung smart TVs so I'm no novice at switching operating systems and this Pixel was so frustrating I decided I wanted nothing do with it and reset it to factory settings to let him deal with it. He gets all my old laptops and has 2 Dells and 2 HPs and finally got a new HP Envy 2in1, all running Windows, and a 55" Google Smart TV (which we both love) for his man cave for Xmas. I've been very happy with the number of SmartThings Samsung produces and am about to integrate everything with my 3 Alexa Echos all of which I can control from my phones. I still use the A14 5g and my Samsung Members account recognizes everything pretty seamlessly. All of this to say I don't really care enough about the Pixel to try to use it, even tho Google gives the latest Samsung phones the latest version of Android only about a month or so behind their updates to Google products. Having said all this, I wonder if I should have just gone with Google products to begin with, but this world is so crazy I'm hedging my bets. Both Google and Samsung products are manufactured in countries other than China but neither in the USA as of yet, as would be my preference, but they both manufacture quality products, and are mutually cooperative in the development of their future products. I would hate to see them split up their mutually beneficial relationship and have to make a final choice between them. Unless something better comes along. I hear Elon's expanding his horizons even beyond Mars and favors the inward exploration via nueralink over smartphone technology but us ordinary humans will just have to wait until we can afford that š Still wondering about Apple's future. I hear ther stock is down but all of the Giants, both billionaires and corporations, seem to take turns sharing the spotlight š
If you are that upset over not getting the One UI 7 and if you believe the grass is green on the Pixel side of the fence jump over, there is no need to announce it here. Or just go buy a new S25 series they comes with the One UI 7.
If you don't have any experience with any of the Google flagship devices and just going based on speculation and frustration, you are setting yourself up for an investment failure. Especially over the UI.
