I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast.

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software.

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

On One UI 6, once the battery hit 5%, I would still have about half an hour to an hour before charging the phone. After the One UI 7 update, once my phone hits 5%, the battery drains very quickly—the numbers change rapidly on the screen. I have about three to four minutes to charge it. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

More new items are running in the background. Deep sleep apps not using regularly should help.

It is really never a good idea to run your battery that low. It will stress the battery.

I understand; however, it must be a bug. No other brand seems to have this issue; only Samsung devices. Apple certainly does not have this problem. And I'm talking you can see 5% and then it goes to 2% within seconds.

Not best to run that low percentage as for ui7 it does have new features and things running

It looks like OneUI 7 on the S24 ultra has some battery draining issues.

These are taken from Battery Tracker from Good Lock

AOD is completely turned off and battery usage is restricted

Also turned off and battery restricted

Significant increase in battery usage compared to 6.1

And this isn't all of them. This is just a few examples. There's definitely a software issue that causing apps that are either diabled or turned off, and all battery usage restricted, to somehow still use battery in the background

How long did you download it? That's expected In the first week of downloading the update. Your phone has to learn the usage again

I downloaded it the day it was released globally. Apps that are disabled and have battery usage restricted shouldn't be affected by learning usage patterns

Still won't matter. As a whole, with new OS updates, your phone always relearns your usage. Now if 2 weeks gone by and it's still doing the same thing, then yes it's an issue with the update
