Notifications

There use to be a way to set notifications for specific apps. Now I can only set notifications for everything. Why was that option taken away?

@userP0qAQM7nfN It is still available but hidden behind a new setting. To enable this ability:

1. Open phone settings
2. Click on Notifications
3. Click on Advanced settings
4. Enable the option "Manage notification categories for each app"

The "messages" app doesn't give that option though....is that correct? I can't seem to set anything specific for messages

Enable the option I mention above and then you will see notification categories in Messages and othe apps.

Yea....I did it, but there is no option to set the ringtone for it

It wasn't taken away, it eas buried. Go to settings/notifications/advanced settings and turn on manage notification categories for each app. Then return to your app settings and click on the notification categories, choose your categories and sounds

⁃   Choose a Notification Sound.
