Notification pop-ups

I have some apps set to give me pop-up notifications. But I don't want the pop-up when I'm on the lock screen [because i already have the lock screen notifications]... just on the home screen.

Can someone help?

The notification may be a pop-up on your lock screen when it first arrives, but should just show an icon on the lock screen.
Long press on your lock screen to edit. When you see the icon row, tap it and then a slide up panel will appear. You can choose "icon only" for your notifications. Right now, you probably have it set to details.

Thanks for your quick reply. I do in-fact have it set to details on lock screen. I want to see details when my phone receives notifications and wakes up. What I don't want is the redundant pop-up on lock screen, but only on home screen. ... Is this possible?

Not sure. I don't want to see details on my lock screen, so I always have had it set for icon only. I have no problem unlocking my phone to read a notification, however, i usually read it on my watch, except for notifications that get truncated. I suspect that in order to get the detailed notification, it would have to be a pop-up, since each notification is in it's own bubble. It would have to pop up to appear on your screen (otherwise it would look like a ghost was writing text)

Yes. That's what I thought. I, too, read it on my watch, but I want to see it on lock screen, too, without pop-up. Just pop-up on home screen.

I didn't even want to have the icon on my screen originally, (I don't like clutter), but I thought it might be useful to see if I had a notification that maybe I didn't get the vibration for on my watch, so I settled for the icon.

Additionally, I never tried it, but I think that if you tap the icon, it might expand the notification.
