No security patch and watch 6 does not update either, it says the server reached the update limit

Likely cause

The “Server has reached its daily download limit” message isn’t a fault with your Galaxy S24 or your Watch 6. Samsung temporarily throttles its firmware-download servers whenever too many devices from the same model/region ping them at once. When that quota fills, any additional request for the day is rejected with the error you’re seeing.

Why you haven’t seen the June security patch yet

Samsung staggers every monthly patch by country, carrier brand, and even specific CSC code.

The June 2025 patch began rolling out on unlocked European S24 units on 18 June and is now expanding to more regions.

Samsung’s own schedule shows that the patch is still “in progress” for many US carriers, so AT&T/T-Mobile/Verizon devices may wait a few days (sometimes a couple of weeks) after the first wave.

Your Watch 6 relies on the phone to pull its firmware, so when the phone download is blocked, the watch shows the same server-limit message. Recent threads from Watch 6 owners report the identical error.

How to get the update anyway

MethodWhat to doWhy it helpsWait 24 h and retry earlyThe quota resets at midnight Korea Standard Time (≈ 3 p.m. UTC). Try again first thing in the morning on Wi-Fi.Most users succeed on the second or third day after the first attempt.Use Smart Switch on a PC/MacInstall Samsung Smart Switch → connect the phone with USB-C → Update. Then reconnect the watch and repeat inside Galaxy Wearable.Smart Switch uses Samsung’s PC CDN, which isn’t subject to the mobile “daily limit.” Clear the update service cacheSettings › Apps › Software Update (or Galaxy Wearable) › Storage › Clear cache/data. Restart phone and watch, then retry.Flushes a corrupted download stub that can re-trigger the error even after the server resets.Switch networksUse a different Wi-Fi, disable any VPN, or momentarily pull the SIM (forces the phone to use Wi-Fi-only).Occasionally the request is geo-routed through a congested CDN node.Last-resort Odin flash (phone only)Download the exact firmware for your model/CSC from a trusted source (e.g., SamMobile) and flash with Odin.Manual flash bypasses carrier delays but voids some warranties—do this only if you’re comfortable with firmware tools.

Bottom line

Nothing is wrong with your devices. Samsung’s download cap is what’s blocking you, and the patch itself may not have hit your carrier’s queue yet. Give it another day or two, or grab Smart Switch on a computer and you’ll be able to install both the S24 June security patch and the Watch 6 firmware right away.
