Microphone not showing for speech to text

How do I get the microphone to appear on my texts so I can use speech to text?

Thank you so much. There used to be a microphone on the right before I brought up the keyboard, or at least that's how I remember it.

If you long press the keyboard icon, it will switch to the mic icon. Otherwise, tapping the keyboard icon will bring up the options for voice input or switching keyboards (if you have multiple) or switching between voice input and your single keyboard.
