My Galaxy S24 Plus is sending me notifications every 3 minutes but there's nothing there, just the sound. I saw on another post about "Nice Catch" app and that's what is showing me the notifications are coming from "System". Any idea why and how to stop them, they're annoying.

I believe this will cut your annoyance down to zero, but it won't expose the culprit. Go to your settings, notifications, advanced settings, and then turn off "repeat notification alerts". If you already have this on, it will turn off your repeating notification for all apps, but it'll keep your annoyance down to zero until you can find the culprit.

Even though nice catch says system, to me it sounds like you have some type of malicious app or malicious malware from something you downloaded. My suggestion is to test by uninstalling, one at a time, the apps you recently downloaded. Once you uninstall one, give it some time to check to see if that was the app giving you those notifications. If not, move on to the next most recently downloaded app. And so on...

You can turn the volume down on the system sound. It won't help you identify the app, but it will stop annoying you until you do. Can you share a screenshot of the nice catch history? Also, check settings/notifications/advanced settings/notification history and take a screenshot of that. You should not be getting System notifications every three minutes. In nice catch, slso turn on toast history and detect commercials.

tap the little arrows to the right of the entries and see if any of those notifications coincide with the times of the sounds you hear.  Are you perhaps not connected to wi-fi and being notified there is an open wi-fi network available?  You can also try downloading Notistar and seeing if anything crops up as a notification in the app.

As I said, turn off the volume for the system sound until you find out what's causing it.  Is it your default notification sound or your default system sound?  If it's the default system sound, turn down the volume slider for the system sound in sounds and vibration.  If it's your default notification sound, lower the volume for the notifications, so at least you'll hear your normal notifications and maybe lessen the annoyance of the rogue notification.  Nothing should be notifying you of anything every three minutes.

You can also boot into safe mode and see if you are still getting the sound.  If you are, it would indeed be a system app.  If you are not, you have a rogue app we have to identify.  Have you ever tried clearing your phone's cache partition?

I believe the OP is not getting repeat notifications, as much as something is sending a new notification every three minutes.

At this point I'm just grasping at straws! Anything I could find that could be remotely possible I'm looking into.

I turned off "repeat notification alerts" in advanced settings and they've stopped. Thanks for everybody's help on this.
