I am a citizen of India but I stay in the United States for my education. Few months ago I have bought Samsung S24 Ultra unlocked version in the U.S for my dad who is in India. He uses two carrier providers, but none of those shows 5G. I have seen that all the network bands that the phone supports and it supports all the 5G bands in India. I was shocked on fact that the flagship device is not supporting 5G in other countries. I have heard the same case with my friend who uses Galaxy S24+.

Can anyone help me how to fix this issue if thereā€™s any solution?

I didnā€™t face this issue with iPhones. I used a 13 pro max unlocked and bought in U.S but used Indian Sim.

This is an issue with the phone software because it is configured to use US bands. Do you use both SIM cards at the same time or is both of them physical?

Both at once.

Is it possible that the phone plan or the carrier on the Indian SIM does not support 5G?  If the band is supported by the phone, then it's a carrier issue.  I don't know if in India phone plans charge extra for 5G capability, but you should check on that and make sure you purchase a plan that includes 5G.

To be precise, I use Jio as my primary simcard (esim).

You would still have to contact the carrier. The phone is capable, it works here, it does not work there. It's a carrier issue.

@gauravyemula You probably should post your question in the discussion group for India. You can find that by visiting https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite/
