Galaxy S24they won't remove USB C port anytime soon. USB C port is useful to transfer data during trade-in. The one should be removed is physical SIM slot, all must be eSIM.

Galaxy S24Anyone can interpret the questions in a survey however they want. My interpretation of the survey and all the USB port questions was that they were looking to improve USB port functionality, not take it away. Although it would make devices more water resistant, reduce e-waste from discarded cords, neaten up living and work spaces from not having a tangle of cords all over the place, and generally give phones a sleeker look. I don't, however see them giving A series phones wireless charging, and not having an alternate way to transfer data in the case of wireless method failure, seems shortsighted. Plus, I believe cable transfer is more secure and not subject to interception.

Galaxy S24Ultimately, my goal was to encourage participation. If users find value in features like the USB port, it’s worth voicing that directly to Samsung.
We’ve seen this pattern before: when Bluetooth functionality was removed from the S Pen on the 25U, Samsung later stated that survey feedback showed low usage. That framing shaped how I interpreted this current outreach as well.

Galaxy S24I really dislike the idea of relying solely on wireless charging. Even in my very modern 2023 Lincoln Aviator, it would be a hassle. More importantly, wireless charging makes my phone uncomfortably hot to hold, especially since I game on my S25 Ultra.
Maybe in the distant future, once there's a significant generational shift in how we interact with devices, it might make sense. But only when everything around us has evolved to the point where it’s actually convenient and practical.
I think about things like the headphone jack and expandable memory. I don’t miss them now — but that’s because headphones and earbuds have solid battery life (though still room to improve), and internal storage has become more generous, while file sizes have grown more manageable. If those improvements hadn’t come first, I’d absolutely still miss those features.
Removing the USB port would be incredibly inconvenient — not just for charging, but for data transfer, accessory support, and diagnostics.
And I completely agree with your closing point: If it matters to us, now is the time to speak up & keep our phones feature packed!! Spot on.
One thing I wish surveys like this included is intent. If they're simply measuring usage patterns, that’s one thing. But if the goal is to justify design changes without telling us that, people might give answers that don’t reflect their actual preferences or priorities.

Galaxy S24Agree, the intent of the survey should be revealed.
Samsung seems to be moving to thinner phones with less hardware as the compromise.
I'm holding my 24U as I type this message. It is housed in minimalistic bumper style case that covers the top, bottom and an x style frame on the back with a magnet / kickstand.
An internal magnet might be cool but I would still have some sort of protection with a case, including an anti-glare screen protector. The phone does not need to be thinner as it would be awkward to hold and slip out of my hands. Lighter maybe, which the 25U accomplished.
Removing the charging /USB port would be seriously inconvenient as you said.
