Hey there! I've been on the hunt for a used or used affordable Samsung S24 Ultra and am amazed at how many fakes I've come in contact with. I've done some research and thankfully could identify the fakes. But the refurbished device I just bought from someone I have bought from before (site called Black Market), very skeptical, it does seem to be legit EXCEPT that it had a rainbow welcome screen when first turning the device on and the welcome being without the explanation point. Everything else seems to have passed the test from what I've seen on YouTube that I am savvy enough to check myself. I'm not 100% about the camera but it is better quality than the 23 Ultra I had previously. So I was downloading apps and getting it personalized and when I added my Etsy app, I received a notification as if it was me to accessed my account with the phone and it said, "Device: Chrome 140 on Android 16." I did just upgrade the phone to android 16 last night praise God. So yeah, is this normal? I looked it up on Google and it said no but also said some other possibilities so I'm just really confused at this point.

Do you mean Back Market? Because Black Market would be beyond sketchy. Lol

The confirmation email you got after you signed in is a good sign. The "Chrome 140" is generic (non-device specific) web login info that some apps display. If that's your location and ISP, you're good.

Did you actually try to sign into your etsy account on the new phone?  You will get a message like this from many apps when you try to log in to your account from a browser or an app that you have not signed in from before.  It gives you the name of the browser, the browser version, your Android version and the location you logged in from. This will happen even if you did not switch phones, but you hadn't used the app in a while and the permissions/cookies were removed.  This is a security measure, from the site, for your own protection.  If the information it is showing is correct, you can disregard the notice.  You only have to worry if a) you haven't logged in from any device or b) the location is nowhere near where you are.

Just my 2 cents minus tax the site mentioned is a hit or miss from what I seen as for the Etsy app notification it could either be the previous owners account

Lol Black Market is a site for refurbished products, not literally the black market lol 😊 I noticed by the sellers name that they also have an account on ebay. 1760440101784.jpg

It's easy to see the "invisible" L.  Our brains expect to see black market.
