Galaxy S24Hello all.
Last week I received the update which brought Android 15 & One UI 7 to my Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Since then, I noticed that when I'm connected to my car via Bluetooth for calls & audio, if I try to send a WhatsApp voice message, my car's display starts a pseudo phone call & the voice recording that is sent sounds very Lo-fi.
This also happens if I send or receive a WhatsApp message.
Similarly, today I was jogging & listening music on my Galaxy Buds2 Pro and whenever I started recording a WhatsApp voice message, the music sounds Lo-Fi until the recording is sent, then the audio quality returns to normal. The same if I send a WhatsApp message while music is playing.
I never encountered this issue prior to the software update.
So far I have tried removing the Bluetooth devices from my phone & re-pairing them, and I've also reset all Bluetooth settings, but the problem still persists.
Is anyone else experiencing this and what can I do from here?

Galaxy S24I did contact Whatsapp support & they have an AI assistant that pretty much determined that it's an OS issue.
I kept adding to my report but their assistant is sticking to its assumption that it's an OS problem.

Galaxy S24Unfortunately when I try filing a report, they use Meta AI for their customer service & it always puts the fault on something else.

Galaxy S24My phone works well.
But have you tried the specific issues in the ways described in the original post?
My issue is with "Bluetooth audio" connection specifically while using WhatsApp to record/play a voice note, not any other function of the device.

Galaxy S24I got an update/patch this morning at about 3Am EST and I'm happy to report that it resolved the issue I was having.
I no longer see pseudo outgoing phone call on my car display whenever I'm connected & try to record a WhatsApp voice message. And the audio that I sent sounds normal.
As soon as I saw there was an update available I hoped it would resolve my issue & it did. 😊
Best regards.
***** UPDATE - May 02, 2025 ****
The issue returned.
I drive my car 2x per week did not experience the issue in the days following the last security patch after the major update.
Then after a few days of not driving, it returned. It occurs 100% of the time whenever I am recording a WhatsApp voice message or playing one I received.
