Is there anyway to turn off this notification? I am currently data roaming (job has taken me overseas for the past few months) and it will literally spam all day that im data roaming. To make things better, if I turn off data roaming I will get spammed that i have it off (it has popped up 6 times writing this message). I have looked online and there is no fix that I have seen work. Been a great phone but this is going to cause me to switch to another phone all together when I get back

Have you tried long pressing the notification banner? Doing so should bring you to notification settings where you can adjust what you see/don't see.

If the notifications seem to be all-or-nothing, try enabling notification categories to get more fine-tuned control.

If the categories are greyed out, then they can't be disabled. Some notifications such as phone services are like that.

Hope this helps!1765732364301.jpg

Its not a typical notification, this shows up on the bottom 1/3 of the screen. Only gives a dismiss and settings buttons.

You could try disabling set data warnings.

Settings > Connections > data usage > billing cycle and data warnings

Can't be totally sure as I don't personally have experience with international data roaming1765732674822.jpg

Sorry to hear that. You can try using Nice Catch to see if you can identify exactly where the notification is coming from.

Nice Catch: https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.app.goodcatch

Enable the various categories. When it happens again, see if Nice Catch was able to identify the source

The data roaming will *always* give you a warning when you are first out of  your normal "home area", after dismissing or going to the settings, you should not see it again during the same day (or the same period of time you are in the same geo area).  You may see it repeatedly if you remain out of your "home" area, but it should not be constant.  It's a vestige from the days when data plans charged extra for going outside your geofence, and it's to make you aware that you have done so.  This is a carrier thing, so you should contact your carrier to see if there's a way to keep it from constantly popping up as you are aware you are outside of your home area.  Many carriers still charge extra for roaming data outside of your country, unless you buy an international plan (since all carriers usually have total U.S. coverage), so they make you aware you are roaming so when the bill comes with all those extra data charges, one knows why.  It also informs you that you are no longer on your carrier's network.  It's an annoyance, but it only takes a tap to dismiss it.  Like I said, it should not be constant unless you are continually moving between different carrier partners networks. I think you should see it once per network.
