The phone drops frames randomly whether its while i watching a video or scrolling usually restarting the app helps but it def always comes back now while its not one of the biggest issues on this device. it def ruins the fluidity aspect to it. LAST samsung device i will be purchasing.

The refresh rate is adaptive. Your display doesn't run at a constant 120hz. System UI tries to detect when it can drop to a lower refresh rate to conserve battery. This often includes video playback.

If you have exhausted troubleshooting steps for the third party apps you are having issues with (including unrestricting battery usage for those apps) and you feel your device is dropping at inappropriate times, navigate to the support tab of the Members app and send feedback to samsung.

Have you tried booting into safety mode prior to playing your videos? It's possible that you have some malicious third-party software running in the background causing your problem. Safe mode will temporarily prevent such software from starting, allowing you to see if the problem persists in this mode. If not, you will need to identify the malicious app and uninstall it.
