My brand new S23 Ultra is not staying connected to WIFI, but everything else in the house is - including another new Samsung phone!

WHY?  I called and went through all the steps for troubleshooting - and it did not fix the problem.  I have TMobile along with a G5 router, as that's the only WIFI in this area of TX.  However, IF it connects, it quickly drops the connection and will not reconnect...but it will say it's connected!

What is going on?  What can I do to fix this?  I really don't want to return the phone (it's less than 10 days old!) and I've this problem since I rec'd it.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks!

It appears phone is NOW FIXED!  Yippee!  This was it - apparently 2 SIM cards, one physical and one an ESIM will not work with Network settings.  Somehow, the network settings get confused - even when turning one or the other SIM card OFF.  Doesn't matter.  You must reset ALL network settings, including your router.  Once that is done - all at once - the phone connected in and worked fine.

Perhaps the idea of using 2 SIM cards doesn't work so well.  For me, since I don't use multiple SIMS anyway, it's fine.  But it may not be fine if you use one for work and one for personal - or travel with an international SIM card as one of them.

It could also be that having one physical card and one electronic SIM card doesn't work well together.  I don't have enough knowledge around SIMS to understand or even guess.  I just know it confused my phone, and then it couldn't stay connected.

Thanks to all above for their leading me in the right direction!  I truly appreciate your help.  Now I can enjoy my new phone!

I just had a similar problem with my phone. I called the internet company and they factory reset the router from their end. Fixed the problem for me

I'll call TMobile before I recall Samsung to return my phone!  I certainly will.  If they're going to factory reset though - and I cannot connect to back up my phone - it's THE LAST thing I want to do!  But I will, i.n order to get my less than 10 days old phone to work!  I did every other suggestion I found on here and not one of them worked!  Not a one.  But I'll call right now.  It's my last effort.  I'm very frustrated by paying so much for a faulty product (and I really hope I'm wrong - but Smasung Support said last night they've had a huge amount of calls about WIFI!).

I have spectrum for internet and called them first. I was going to call t-mobile afterwards if that didn't fix it but it did. I just got my ultra 23 as well and was thinking I'd have to replace it but it seemed to be a router issue

Well, I'm living at a resort that uses ATT in the clubhouse
Daughter (IT) suggested I test it there w/ATT...and it worked perfectly!
Called TMobile this am, told me to remove physical SIM and only use the ESIM. I'm still having some issues with G5 (Tmobile) at home. Sadly. TMobile is to call me back, giving me a couple of hours to test. So, that's what I'm doing now.
TY for the feedback! It was a good idea to call them.

So far...so good.  Let's give it a bit.  The Latest Fix/Resolution:

Remove physical SIM Card #1.  (Rely upon ESim download only.)

Restart phone.  (Not the only problem, but of them.  This did fix some of connection issues, as I connected a bit longer period of time before connection failed once I removed physical SIM card.  So, part of the solution for me. If I traveled overseas and used 2 SIMS, I'd be upset.)

Reset S23 Ultra Mobile Network Settings...2x's! 1st did not work.

Restart phone.

Reset G5 to factory, then set it up again through TMobile App from beginning (even though all other apps/phones/laptops are connecting perfectly).

Restart phone.

Up and running now!  Downloaded some apps, read the paper, played music, connected new earbuds with downloading EQ app.  All is well, so far.

TMobile will call me back again tom just to verify that the fix is still working.  This will be the 3rd or 4th time they said they'd call back...and they did!  So nice, and very easy to work with and I didn't even buy the phone through them!  My phone is now SCREAMING!  Yeah! šŸ™‚

TY kind people, for pointing me in the right direction.  Will close it out tom if all is well.  Just wanted it doc'd.
