Galaxy S23S23+ and since the last update, when I turn volume down, it stops at vibrate, and I want that to go all the way to mute.
I realize I can do the drag down menu and mute it there, but I just want my volume buttons to do this, the way it used to before the last big "AI" b.s. update.
I keep researching but it says a lot of bunk about routines, or starting in safe mode. I'm not that smart!
Please help me, and seriously, explain it to me like I'm 10 years old.

Galaxy S23So is there a reason that that app doesn't show up in the stores?

Galaxy S23Individual Good Lock modules generally will not show up in Galaxy Store searches because they are part of the larger Good Lock Suite.
The link I provided is a direct link to the galaxy store listing, found via Good Lock > Routines+ info page > 3 dots, top right corner > go to store.
If you don't want to follow the link, then download Good Lock from the Galaxy Store, then download Routines+ within the Good Lock app.

Galaxy S23My whole point is that you had to create a fix and an extra step for a problem that never existed before this update

Galaxy S23I did not have to create a fix for anything, as it was never an issue for me. If it's an issue for you there are many ways to mute your phone quickly. If you want to do it the way you are used to, yes, you have to create a routine to do so. It takes less than 5 minutes to create the routine and you never have to think about it ever again. The result is the same as the original action, regardless of whether you think they should not have made the change in the first place. The whole point, as you say, is to get the action that you want back. Or is the whole point for you to complain about something easily fixable because you don't agree with the decision, or the fact that you have to do something to make it work as you want?

Galaxy S23The fix takes 3 seconds of holding physical buttons, instead of simply pushing a button once. It would be very easy for them to just toggle this as an option in settings and make everyone happy.

Galaxy S23Where do you get holding a button for 3 seconds? The fix is a routine to make the button action EXACTLY the same as it was formerly - hold the volume down button until the phone mutes - however long that takes. it only requires that you first download the good lock module, routines + and add the button action to your routine.

Galaxy S23There are two work arounds, the second is programming volume up + down to be a macro for mute all when holding for 3 seconds.
Overall, I agree with your longer response from earlier though.

Galaxy S23Why would you program the macro, when the routine is a simpler matter and keeps the action exactly the same as it was? Just FYI, if you are responding to a specific post, hit the reply button under *that* specific post so that the intended recipient is notified.
