This specific number B2:77:65:03:92:29, appearing with a "Can't connect to..." message on your Galaxy S23 Ultra, suggests that your phone is trying to connect to a device with this MAC address, possibly a Bluetooth device or another network device, but is encountering a connection issue. This is the problem I am having.  Is there any solution available to fix this? It is very annoying, this pop-up flash telling me "Can't connect to B2:77:65:03:92:29".

It could be that someone is trying to connect to your phone, but can't gain the permission to do so (may be accidentally or deliberate).  It may not be a BT device.  It could also be a neighbor that is trying to cast to one of their own devices, but is mistaking yours as a connectible device.  Are you able to connect to your devices normally? Both Wi-Fi an BT?  When you look in your BT list of devices, are you only looking for your already paired devices, or scrolling all the way down to see "available devices".  If you see it in "available devices", deny pairing requests.  Your other alternative would be to reset your network connections, which means you will have to re-establish all your wi-fi and BT connections. A pain if you have a lot, but not so much if you only have a few. You can re-establish on an as needed basis, so you don't have to do it all at once.

That's probably what it is: someone is trying to connect to my phone. All my BT devices are accounted for, and there are no "available devices." This happens even when I'm away from my home. Question: how would I re-establish my wi-fi connections? I understand how with the BT devices.

Thank you for the help, this has become really annoying, the constant flash of "Can't connect to" popping up on my phone. It's not just happening when I'm at home but where ever I go and connect to Wi-Fi.

Thanks again for your help

If you previously connected to a network (public or private), if you set it to auto reconnect (this is usually the default setting, so normally you don't have to do anything unless you *don't* want it to auto-reconnect), you will connect every time you are in range of that network.  If you don't have it set to auto reconnect, you will have to connect manually.  On public networks that have a consent and authorization page, you will be automatically connected but not able to have internet access until you visit that page and consent.  If you are in range of a new network, you will have to manually connect the first time.  If you are in range of your carrier's hotspot network or wi-fi provider's hotspots, after you connect to one for the first time and supply your credentials, you should automatically connect any time you are in range of said hotspots.

BTW, did you actually give your phone a name, such as Hallz44's S23, or does it just generically say S23?  It could be someone mistaking your S23 for their S23.  If you name your phone, there would be no confusion.  You don't even have to call it S23, you can call it joeschmoe's phone.

Well, the problem still exists.  It's frustrating because it seems like there are no solutions.  It doesn't just happen when I'm connected to my home Wi-Fi, but any Wi-Fi I connect to.  The only way I can stop it from happening is to turn off my Bluetooth. I even removed the last BT item I added to my phone, and it still didn't resolve the problem.  I appreciate everyone who provided me with some suggestions on how to fix/correct the problem.  Thank you

Can you take a screen shot of the message that keeps popping up?  Can you tap that message to deny connection attempts?  It only happens when you are on wi-fi?  You can keep BT off until you, yourself, actually need to connect a device - a little inconvenient, but more so than constantly having a connection attempt interruption?  Only you can decide.  Do you have an anti malware program on your device?  You have have inadvertently acquired a malicious program that is attempting to trick you into connecting to a device/server to steal your personal info.

You can try booting your phone into Safe Mode and see if the problem still occurs.  If it does not, then there is some malicious app on your phone. Download and run Malwarebytes and run a scan.  Try to remember if this started happening after downloading a specific app, then uninstall that app.  Safe mode boots only with Samsung's native apps.

Here's a screenshot of the message that keeps flashing up. It's not happening now and I've been on my phone for over an hour now and it's not happening. I'm not sure what triggers it. 1751119068998.jpg

That actually looks like it can't connect to a specific wi-fi router or a device you already have configured, but is not communicating.  You say it happens on any network? Is it always the same mac address?  Does it only pop up in settings or on your home screen as well? Download Good Lock's Nice Catch, turn on "toast history", and see if it can give you a clue which app is causing it.

Yes it's the same MAC address. It pops up anywhere on my phone. Whatever screen I'm viewing it will pop up . I'm out and about in a local mall and it's consistently keeps popping up. I'm at the AT&T store and they have real solutions other than reset my phone to the original factory settings. I really don't want to go that route.
