Touches consistently don't register, causing me to constantly retype words and characters. I have to repeatedly tap on the same spot in the screen to get taps to register. Online forums show this has been a problem for S23 owners for nearly a year (at least back to March 2024) because of an issue with Google Discover. I disable the feature but that doesn't resolve it and Discover just re-nables itself after a short time.
When is the fix coming? IS a fix coming? I just bought this phone but I'm going to return it if Samsung has no intention of working with Google to fix it.

It's hard to pinpoint the exact timing of the issue but I really started to notice it after I installed the One UI 6.1 update. I have to slowly, deliberately hold and tap, and even then it still sometimes requires multiple taps.
Slowing down isn't something that should be necessary given I could touch the screen on my ancient S10+ that I upgraded from as fast as I wanted with no issues.
