For several months, the volume on my phone has changed on its own.  From On to Vibrate and sometimes from Vibrate to Off.  This happens almost every day.  Any ideas on how I can prevent this?  Thanks.

I was getting complaints of missed calls because of some mystery after setting ringer volume full max and wake up later finding volume shut off.

No idea, other than it had to be a Rogue App doing this.
After six months of torture,
I deleted one of Samsungs praised Apps and no longer have this issue for my Note20Ultra.
I love this phone for about a year now and at seventy, good chance the last one for a while.
Handed down by my retired Son of USAirforce and he knew I'd like it.
Good Lock App was deleted cured this Hideous nonsense.

Thanks for taking the time to post your experience.  I'm also missing calls for the reason you described.  I don't have the Good Lock app, but at least I know what might be causing this.

@Philcbx Good Lock would have nothing to do with this phenomenon unless you set one of the modules to do this. However, if getting rid of it solved your issue, good for you.

Does this happen in the daytime or at night? Randomly or at approximately the same times? Have you perhaps set a mode or routine or activated do not disturb?

Thanks for posting.  It can happen at any time, but it seems most often overnight.  I've not activated Do Not Disturb.  I don't know what a Mode or Routine is, so probably have not set one.

The phone can somehow be activating sleep mode automatically, which will turn on do not disturb and mute your phone. Go to settings/modes and routines and tap the sleep mode secrtion and check to see that its not set to activate automatically. Also make sure do not disturb isnt set to activate on a schedule. Do you have a connected watch?

Are you perhaps, accidentally pressing and holding the volume down button? grabbing the phone by the sides can cause this.

Thank you for your suggestion and for the excellent instructions..  There are Modes, but no Sleep Mode.

Hmm. Sleep mode is one of the pre configured basic modes on the phone. The only reason it wouldn't be there is if it was deleted. However, the fact that it's not there means its not on, nor is any of the other modes.
