I have an S23 Ultra. When a certain contact would text me, their contact pic would show instead of the standard messaging icon. Since the last update, that doesn't happen anymore. They are still marked as a priority. I would like to get this feature back. Does anyone know how to?

I also have a Galaxy 5 watch and the contact pic shows on that when I get a text message from that person.

Hey there! I can definitely understand wanting a feature to stay the way that you prefer it! Here is some troubleshooting that may help.

1. Samsung Account Settings:
Profile pictures and profile sharing are linked to your Samsung account.
If you're not signed in, you'll need to create one or log in.
If you're already logged in, you may need to remove and re-add your account.
2. Enable Profile Sharing:
Open the Contacts app, then tap Menu > Settings > Profile picture sharing.
Make sure the switch is toggled on to enable profile sharing.
3. Messaging App:
Update the Messages app to the latest version in the Google Play Store.
Ensure that your contacts are synchronized with the messaging app.
4. Check Contact Information:
Verify that each contact has a profile picture assigned in the Contacts app.
If the picture is missing, you can add one by editing the contact details.
5. Other Troubleshooting:
Sync Issues:
Check if your contacts are syncing with the messaging app. You might need to force a sync or try different syncing methods.
App Cache:
Clearing the app cache can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
Phone Settings:
Review your phone's display or appearance settings, as they might be affecting how pictures are rendered.
Permissions:
Make sure the Messages app has the necessary permissions to access your contacts and gallery.

You can also submit an error report by going to the Samsung Members app > Get help > Send feedback > Error reports

Thank you. Unfortunately, none of these worked.

I no longer get audio or visual notifications for incoming texts.  Rather than the usual text message ding/notification a number appears at the top right of the messages app indicating how many unread texts are waiting.  Same problem with the Outlook app for my work email.

I have checked and double checked all notification permissions and settings.  Nothing on the panel (when Im able to pull it down, which is sporadic at best) and nothing on the lock screen despite allowing those notifications.
