Galaxy S23Well you seem to be in the minority in your preference, but then again most people in this thread are here because they are irritated with this limitation. If Samsung simply gave the option for either way, they could make both sides happy. Odd though that someone would prefer not to even have an option for others who see 1/2" of screen real estate of an additional 5 icons as beneficial and this design change as a clear regression.
I believe this is an exclusive Samsung UI7 decision, so I know I'm jumping ship on my next phone to a competitor if this is not addressed, and I've had pretty much only Samsung phones since the Galaxy S3.
Here's a few more threads of people complete frustrated and put off with this limitation.
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneui/comments/1kdr6n8/can_you_show_more_than_3_notification_dots_this/
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Suggestions/Allow-more-than-3-notification-icons/td-p/3077833
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s25-series/three-icon-limit-in-status-bar/td-p/11620035
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S25/Only-3-notifications-and-4-status-icons-at-the-top/td... I see you in that thread too, why do you care so much about not giving others an OPTION to have it work either way. I'll ask again, are you SURE you aren't the UX/UI designer that works for Samsung that made this decision? What horse do you have in this race to keep defending the decision that is frustrating countless people?
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S25/Feature-Request-PLEASE-bring-back-being-able-to-see-m... I see you in this thread too. Why would an option tucked away in Good Lock to give people the option to change this to their preference bother you so much? You prefer others having less customization? Less options?
The customization options of Good Lock is one of the reasons I have stuck with Samsung, if this one in particular they don't let you customize, then I'm definitely looking elsewhere on my next phone. A **bleep** simple "truncate notifications to 3" in Good Lock for non-power users at the least would solve all this.

Galaxy S23I don't think I am in the minority in the general population. There are millions of users out there and the loudest 100 or so voices tend to wander into this app to shout their displeasure. Go buy a stock android if a thousand notification icons are important to you because it's too much of a bother to pull down your notification shade to see what your notifications are. No one, and I mean no one is too busy to take an extra second to do so. You seem to have had the time to research other posts on the matter, so you certainly have the time to pull your notification shade down. You can prioritize your notifications so that the important ones are on top, you can create a routine so that notifications from certain apps either get read aloud or have a custom notification. You can show the notifications on your lock screen. There are so many things you can do so that your important notifications get noticed right away. How would any of you have survived when you actually had to be home to receive a phone call? And prior to answering devices you would never even have known you missed a call.
I'm all for people having options, but right now you don't, so you will all have to deal with things the way they are. If you want to have changes made, the way to do it is not to cry about it here, but to send actual feedback to the developers through the feedback link. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692 or email the CEO https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/email-the-ceo/, as this is a peer-to-peer user HELP forum, and no user can help you get your icons back.
None of the Samsung employees lurking in the background are going to take action based on the forum posts - this is not the official feedback platform.
As for why I may care one way or the other, I do not. Just as I would probably be the one irked at having no choice but to have 90 icons on my status bar with no way to turn them off - but, I'd deal with it like an adult and work around it, learn to live with it, and send feedback to the right places. I only care that all of you complainers are clogging up the feed so that people who need *real* help can't get it, because their posts are getting lost in the drivel. I am as entitled to give my thoughts on the matter just as all of you feel entitled to complain.

Galaxy S23I already had provided feedback through the Member app too. But yes, the next feedback I provide will probably be silent, as in buying a device from a different company.
You clearly do care, you are spending the time to post messages such as "I know everybody has different preferences, I just don't understand why people want their status bar so cluttered up and messy. There is only so much real estate on the bar and some people get a lot of notifications." Also, that's not really providing help to anyone, which is why you say you are here in this forum.
I do see your point that this is categorized as a help forum, I did get here just from Google and not by browsing to it. That being said, if you are trying to help people in properly providing feedback, you should be responding with that info about how to properly provide feedback in all these threads rather than debating the importance of limiting to 3 notification icons and not having the option to change it. At that point, you aren't providing help either, you're just debating on your preference and are contributing to the problem that you say you're trying to address. It's clear in all these threads where people are posting on this topic would prefer to have the option. You most likely haven't convinced any of those people otherwise.
Alright, I'm done debating with some random person on the Internet in a forum. Have fun on your campaign to smack down those complainers. There will be less complainers anyway as people make different buying decisions if Samsung doesn't appeal to power users who want that customization.
But you do offer a good tip, to everyone out there, please take the time and provide more feedback to the developers that their design decision and lack of an option is a misguided one: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692 Also, tell your friends and family to do the same.

Galaxy S23It makes no sense that only three notifications are shown. I’m a driver and on the road all day with my phone on a magnetic holder. I don’t want to keep swiping down just to see the rest of my notifications. I just need to know if there are important ones — maybe the fourth or fifth — without touching my phone. I should be able to see all my notifications, or at least six of them, so I can tell at a glance whether I need to swipe down or not.

Galaxy S23But if it’s about the icons on the right side of the bar, like Bluetooth, location, or alarm settings, then I DO understand that you NEED to swipe down — as those are only important when something isn’t working or you need to check a connection.

Galaxy S23Where are you going to ?
Apple, nope no notification icons on a status bar.
Pixel, nope, 3 is the max there too on Android 16. I am in Beta on my Pixel 9proXl and Beta on my S25U. So I know what I am talking about.
Ui7 and Android 16 are almost one in the same. Samsung has been working on Ui7 with Google. Samsung implemented things that are in Android 16 into Android 15.
Google is all in on Live Notifications in the status bar.
