Hello, I am writing to report an issue with the object eraser function in the Gallery app after updating my S23 Ultra to the 6.1 UI. Previously, when circling an object to remove it, the outline would remain intact when I lifted the pen off the screen. However, now the outline shrinks to a different size as soon as I take the pen away, making it difficult to accurately select the object for removal. I have attached screenshots to illustrate the issue.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and provide a solution to restore the previous functionality of the object eraser. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I do know about the new AI Function that is similar, however I prefer the object eraser.

Best regards,

This will definitely affect my decision to buy another Samsung. I have been loyal for over a decade or two, but this object eraser bug is ridiculous.

Same problem. The object eraser option isn't visible. Pls roll it back as that was really a cool functionality

Same here. Object eraser option is gone. I think it is because photo editor updated (when we update to oneui 6.1). I can downgrade the photo ereaser with lower version. So we only hope samsung will give us an update to fix it

I figured out the fix. When you go into "Object eraser" you need to deactivate the "magnetic lasso" option that will be at the upper right. Turn that garbage option off and then you can go back to drawing around where you want to erase

Now....what happened to the shadow eraser in the same editing tools. I used to be able to remove shadows and make amazing photos....not any more....I get "no eraseabke shadows" but they are still there.

Also, the turning off of the magnetic lasso did NOT fix the eraser.IMG_7950_1000055201_1735869314.jpg1736141035684.jpg

I literally just used the erase objects tool and turned off the magnetic lasso and it worked perfectly fine so maybe something is wrong with your process.  You should also be given the option to draw around any Reflections or Shadows

Ok. Copy my photo. Use the shadow eraser and then show me the new image. I just showed you EXACTLY what happens when I try....did it just before post, Jan 5, 2025.
