Galaxy S23You can configure driving mode and then set the DND contained within that mode to allow calls and messages (or no messages) and not allow notifications. Or you can set a custom driving mode. Have the mode start automatically when connected to your car.
Mode: Driving (or custom name)
Turn on automatically
when connected to BT (name BT device = car name)
Stay focused
do not disturb: on - Set DND to allow calls (and texts if desired) and no notifications. This will not affect the parameters for your normal DND settings.
When you turn off the mode (it should turn off automatically after disconnecting, but you can turn it off manually), your notifications will then come through.
If you want the notifications, but not the sound, you will have to turn them to silent in the notification settings, but this will apply even when your phone is not connected. There does not seem to be a way to turn them off just when you are connected to your car. Incidentally, when I am connected to my car, either with Android Auto or just the BT connection, I do not get notification sounds - not on my phone or through the car. I don't know why, but it's been that way since forever, I just know it has something to do with my car, not the phone.
