No text sound notification

It just occurred to me that when I received a text, I don't get the sound notification even though the notification is not on silent. It also just occurred to be tjat I can't remember the last time my text message ringtone. Everything is working so far. But it doesn't vibrate or notify me when I get a text message

Update: I fix it. I went to Apps > messages > app permission > notifications > sound & vibration was off, I turned it on.

Have you verified that your phone isn't on mute?

Or Do not disturb mode, or Sleep or Theater mode?

It's not. My calls ring, and vibrate, its just the text and its not on mute

Are you aware that there are different volume levels for Notifications and Ringtones? One can be at zero and the other not.

I checked and I have don't all that text notification is still muted

Sorry I don't understand. If you click the volume up or down key and then click the 3 dots of the control that pops up, you will see all the volume levels.

OR you can go to phone settings -> Sounds and vibration -> Volume and see all the different volume levels.

It's not on do not disturb either
