Suddenly my Modes and Routines stopped working. I tried almost everything from restarting the phone to deleting all data and cache (no I have lost all the created routines) but still no effect. When I open the application it seems froze and when I am trying to make a new routine I see no options, its like the application database is gone !! This happened all of sudden

Hello everyone, thank you for your feedback. We have identified a situation on some devices where the Modes and Routines app, along with its automation function, fails to execute properly because of compatibility problems between apps. To resolve this, we are working on an update version of the โ€˜Modes and Routinesโ€™ app to improve this situation, so please make sure to keep your deviceโ€™s app version up to date.

 

The update will be rolled out gradually. The schedule and version number are subject to change and may differ depending on your region or carrier.

I uninstalled the latest update and then reupdated it on the galaxy store and it seems to be working again. I did lose all my stuff though.

It is not working since September 12th, not even re installing it

Thought so it was a more wide problem ! Have tried as well to unistall and reinstall the latest update but didnt work... seems not even Samsung support can help on this. last thing they reccomended me was to hard reset the device but not sure if this will work and I will need at least 2 days to restore all these settings again ! ...

Don't I tried it.. and it was working again briefly but then went back to not working. Not worth it

Did any of you disable Bixby?  I don't know for sure if that's the issue, but modes and routines are part of Bixby.  Even if you don't use Bixby or have it set up, if you disabled it, it may prevent the routines & modes from working.  I don't use Bixby, I don't have it set up, but I don't have it disabled and my modes and routines are working just fine.  I also do not have an S23, so I don't know if it's just an issue with that model phone.  If you had a Bixby update just before this started happening, that may be an issue, as well.  Put in an error report so that the issue can be addressed. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692

I did disable Bixby and now I am without Bixby as well ! **bleep** ๐Ÿ˜‰ ....
