Microphone 1 not working since update

Hi! I did the update we are all talking about yesterday and curious if anyone else had a microphone issue. Since the update, microphone 1 stopped working. I can't do any talk to text features in texting, internet etc. Ran diagnostics and it said it was microphone 1. Did every trouble shooting imaginable, chatted with 3 agents, 1 who worked remotely on my phone, and sent a report to Samsung. Other than that, they told me besides going to a service center they didn't know what to do and hoped the developers would see my report. 🤦‍♀️

It is likely the loss of the mic function had absolutely nothing to do with the update.  Some things happen by coincidence.  It could be the mic was already failing when the update took place and that was the final straw.  Some updates put a strain on certain hardware, and if that component was weak, it could cause it to finally expire. If the diagnostics say the mic is bad, it is likely not software related.  You will have to take it to a service center for evaluation and repair.

I had to go to a cellphone repair place and have a new control panel piece put in. 80 bucks for something that broke after the update. I dont believe in coincidences!

Updates don't break things, they expose weaknesses in hardware that was already failing, even if you didn't notice anything. If they had to replace a piece of hardware, the hardware was bad, otherwise it would have been a software fix if caused by the update.

Yes, my primary mic stopped working the same morning my phone updated to S916USQS6DYG1, which was yesterday.
