Galaxy S23I’ve been using the Galaxy S23 FE for a while now, and while the hardware is solid (same GN3 sensor as the S23 and even the S24), the image processing really lets it down.
Colors often look washed out and dull, especially in daylight shots.
There's too much noise, even in good lighting.
Dynamic range is poor — bright skies get blown out, and shadows are often crushed.
Detail is soft compared to even my old Galaxy S21, which ironically produces more balanced and pleasing photos.
The S23 FE has better hardware than the S21, so logically, image quality should be equal or better — but that’s not the case right now.
I hope Samsung can improve the camera processing pipeline in future updates. A little more saturation, better tone mapping, and improved HDR would go a long way.
I tested video 4k 30 fps and 1080 60fps on S23 Fe and S21 (night).
Anyone else notice this?
