Twice since the July security update at app called block blast has been put on my phone. Has anybody else had this problem?

Could be from device manager app which seems to be used by carriers to add apps or games

My phone is unlocked and I do not have any carrier apps. This is the first instance I've ever seen from Verizon if so

I've never seen that on my S24.
Do you have any games on your phone? They are a common source of ad-ware/malware.

The only game I have is a Yahtzee game that I've had for 3 years and never had an issue. My phone is mainly for business. The only download I've had lately is this update

Yes — you’re not alone on this. Users, particularly on Samsung Galaxy S23 models, have reported that after applying security updates (often labelled as the July patch), an app called “Block Blast” (along with games like Monopoly Go or Fishdom) has been automatically installed on their phones .

On r/GalaxyS23Ultra, one user described:

> “After this update, I noticed the installation of the following: monopoly go, fishdom, blocks, and block blast.”

Most of these reports are from Verizon‐branded devices, but the problem appears in Samsung forums broadly, not tied to a specific carrier
