The music files on my phone, stored in internal storage disappears.  I have noticed this a long time ago but did not make it a serious issue until recently.  I have researched and saw many other people have the same issue.  What is Samsung doing about this?

Today i looked at my folder where i keep most of my songs and compared to the same folder that i exported to my computer and it went from approximately 2500 songs to 500 songs.  This is clearly a problem.

What is the solution?

Are you able to locate the file in any way to check the file name extension, such as aiff, wma, opus, and others are not supported. You would have to try a third party music player like VLC to see if it will play and appear, and convert the file if it's allowed. Not sure on the rules.

these are files that played on the phone, and were visible on the phone.  they just disappear over time.  i just copied the same folder back onto the phone and all the files are there again.  i assume they will start disappearing again since there is some sort of a bug.....

Where are you copying it from, like one drive ? Make sure you have the music file to make available offline. I read the optimization feature can remove files if you give Samsung Files and, or Google files the third party permission, as changes and editing of files, and files shared could be performedwithout your knowledge I read. Copying and moving the files is good method.
