Lost S Pen!

Greetings Samsung Community. 

I recently lost the S Pen from my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone. My phone slipped from my hand, and suffered a jarring impact on the floor of a hospital lobby. 

I have experienced this happening more than a few times in the course of owning several Samsung Galaxy smartphones, that are equipped with S Pens. Starting with the Note 4, Note 8, and Note 20 5G Ultra.

In the course of owning these various S Pen equipped smartphones, I have had to replace the S Pen, for each of the S Pen at least once, during the time I've owned the phone, because the only way that I've learned that the phone's S Pen, was missing, was when I got a message on the phone's screen. And that was hours after the S Pen became forcibly detached from the PHONE.

Can you tell me why hasn't Samsung, come up with a more DYNAMIC/IMMEDIATE method of alerting the smartphones owner when the S Phone is forcibly detached from the phone? 

Losing the smartphones S Pen is like LOSING a LIMB. To have the phone tell you that the S Pen is missing and have search your memory to recall where the S Pen's separation occurred is really maddening!

They do have a setting that alerts you when your S Pen is removed. I had dropped my phone before and never lost an S Pen, but I always double-check.

If the SPen is like an appendage to you, how come you didn't immediately notice it was missing?  When you picked up the phone when you dropped it, how come you didn't notice it wasn't there?  Surely you remember the place where you dropped the phone so you could go back and look for it, although I would hate to be in a hospital where they weren't sweeping the floor regularly.  Obviously, there's a mechanism for alerting you when the SPen is no longer in proximity to your phone, as you got notified. It shouldn't have been hours later, though, just when you were out of proximity of the pen.

If you always lose S Pens, couldn't you take a second to turn on this?

It could have been hours since he looked at his phone screen. I imagine the notifications would come immediately after leaving proximity of the pen (if BT model), or if not placed back in the holder within a certain period of time, I don't know I never had an SPen. Still doesn't explain how, if it's like a limb to him, he didn't notice right away without the notification or how, when you drop your phone, you don't inspect it for damage and notice it missing.

That is exactly how it works!

There should be a setting to change the sound profile for left spen behind.

That feature works instantly so i guess they did not had it onn

I wish they would let you change the sound the phone makes for let Spen behind, or at least add this to Pentastic.

Currently there is no option for this.
