When I'm on Facebook app and open the comment text box, there is no emoji icon.

It just shows sticker, gif, and avatar icons. And it doesn't show up on my keyboard either. Not even when I click the 3 dots in the corner
Its strange because the icon does show in a text box in a text message or in my discord app.
So does anyone know how to get the icon to show up or access emojis when making a comment?

The Samsung Keyboard settings are separate from the Facebook app.

Try this. On your Samsung Keyboard, long press the key on the left side of the space bar. This will pop up some new key press options. 2 of those options should be the emoji options you want and the Samsung Keyboard settings.

If you want, you can access the emoji from there, or you can go into the Samsung Keyboard settings and turn the toolbar feature on like I showed in my previous screenshot.

Let me know if that helps.Screenshot_20241104_223823_Samsung Members_1000017915_1730777904.png

Unfortunately, there is no way to hide the built-in emoji button in other apps. Only the keyboard.
