Is it possible to retrieve erased messages? The internet says you can however it says to go to trash icon or recycle icon but my phone doesn't hv that option
Messages using what Google messages? If you use a cloud backup, you might could restore to earlier backup. the backup in Google Drive will list SMS size to give you an idea if there's any messages that were backed to, and the option to revert back to the backup. Trash can I think it's only available for Samsung messages.
Google messages does not have a trash bin. Samsung messages does. If you deleted a message in Google messages, it is gone. If you deleted it in Samsung messages, you have a chance to retrieve it by going to the settings/trash and recovering it, unless you emptied the trash or it's been in trash longer than 30 days.
