Is there a way to download a text message thread in its entirety and convert it to a pdf?

Select messages and copy... u can do this in Google messenges

All you need to do is switch to Google's Messenger app and then start selecting the messages. Once done with that, create a note in Samsung Notes and paste the texts into there, then export as pdf from there

You can download SMS backup and restore from the Play store. The conversations are backed up as PDFs. You can back up a single conversation, or all of them.
