So, basically if I'm still paying for my s23 ultra through Verizon, it's not unlocked, right?? And if that's true then I can't get the UI 7 beta on my 23 ultra?!

Correct if you purchase your device from a carrier the model number will end with U and they can’t participate even if it’s paid for and is Carrier Unlocked since that is different than Factory Unlocked which models end with U1.
