Contact "notes" disappeared

In the contact that I created for all the office numbers for my work, I also had Notes accumulated over the years. Now when I go to look at the Notes in the contact, it's blank. I cannot figure out where they went. And my contacts sync to my Gmail, so when I went to look on the computer under contacts, the notes are not there either. Help!

Do first!  Disable syncing with your Google contact list.  For me, it cuts off once I've opened the contact. I actually see it disappear. Now, I will see it disappear on my phone, but because it's not sinking to my Google contact list, my Google contact list might still have the information - I hope!!! 

ME TOO!!  🤯🤯🤯 Panicking because I have some medication instructions for my clients in there. (I can find the information elsewhere, but not without a lot of work or embarrassment.)

I also have other critical info in there!! 

Do we really have to go back to paper record keeping?!?

How is this fixed?!?

Same. I noticed it right after a software update. It's making it very difficult to do my taxes

Sadly, I just noticed ALL of my notes gone in my contacts too! 😪
