And it auto updates (and has since I got the phone new in 2023) even though I have that turned off! I don't want auto updates, before I research the update first. What is going on!

My wifeโ€™s Galaxy S23 started having wired charging problems right after the November 2025 OneUI 7 update. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s happening:

- Plugging in shows โ€œSuper Fast Chargingโ€ for about 20โ€“30 seconds, then charging stops completely.
- Unplugging/reโ€‘plugging repeats the same cycle.
- Wireless charging works fine every time.
- With Fast charging enabled in settings โ†’ intermittent wired charging, then it drops.
- With Fast charging disabled โ†’ no wired charging at all.

Troubleshooting already done:
- Cleared cache partition after the update.
- Tried multiple Samsung OEM bricks (25W, 45W) and cables.
- Tested thirdโ€‘party PD chargers (Anker, Belkin).
- Different outlets and surge protectors.
- Ran Samsung Members Diagnostics โ†’ says โ€œcharger working correctly,โ€ but charging still fails.
- Safe Mode test โ†’ issue persists, so not appโ€‘related.

This isnโ€™t isolated. Other users are reporting the same issue in multiple forums:
- Samsung EU Community โ€“ OneUI 7 S23U Charging Issues
- XDA Forums โ€“ Galaxy S23 OneUI 7 Charging Bug Reports
- Reddit r/GalaxyS23 โ€“ November Update Charging Problems

Itโ€™s clear this is a software bug introduced by the November patch. Diagnostics saying โ€œcharger working correctlyโ€ doesnโ€™t change the fact that charging drops out. Charging is a core function โ€” waiting until the next monthly patch cycle is not acceptable. Samsung needs to acknowledge this regression and push a hotfix.
