I posted previously that the camera in my S23 Ultra would revert to JPEG in Pro mode with RAW-only selected. It would also capture in JPEG only in RAW+JPEG. After between 2 and a dozen photos, RAW would kick in.
Several others added their similar experience with the same phone and other models.
Samsung repeatedly denied a problem and kept suggesting to reset the app, clear the app cache and, at one point, perform a factory reset on the phone. Resetting the app/clearing the cache did nothing. I did not do a factory reset.
With the latest firmware update, the problem appears to be resolved. The camera no longer captures in JPEG before switching to RAW, it's capturing in RAW from the first frame.
Nice that Samsung may have fixed the problem they denied existed. Unfortunate that they didn't just acknowledge the issue and say they were working on a fix.
Anyone else experiencing a resolution to the problem?
