I’m currently experiencing an issue where my device shows it’s connected to WiFi but has no internet access. I’ve already contacted my service provider, and they confirmed that everything is functioning correctly on their end. Additionally, other devices in the household are connected without issue.

Could anyone please advise on troubleshooting steps to resolve this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If it's just your device, try power cycling it. Turn it off, let it sit for a minute or two, and turn it back on again. If that doesn't work, try resetting the WiFi and BT settings under settings > general management > reset. You will have to re-enter WiFi credentials and reconnect BT devices.

Thank you for your suggestions. I implemented both recommendations, and while they worked briefly, the issue reverted—the connection now
shows as active but without internet access.

The other devices in your household are connected to the internet without issue? You may want to try rebooting the router, just to cover all the bases.

The only other thing I could suggest is to run diagnostics on your phone, to see if there may be a hardware issue with the device. The option is under settings > device care.

Yes, this issue appears to be isolated to my device. I previously ran diagnostics on my phone, and no errors were detected. Additionally, I performed a standard reset of both the modem and router by unplugging them for approximately five minutes.

At the time, my phone was also powered off. There was a recent incident involving my internet service provider as well as connectivity issues with Samsung’s servers. From what I recall, the problem may have been related to an incorrect date on a security certificate—or something along those lines.

Has this been going on for some time or did it start after an update? The last thing I can think to suggest is a cache partition wipe. This will clear out temporary system files and won't affect your data.

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

I did receive a recent update, but there were no noticeable issues until the server problem occurred on my provider's end. That said, my Samsung TV—along with all other Samsung devices in my household—is currently functioning without any problems.

I’m not entirely sure what the root cause is, but I’ll try your last suggestion to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn’t, I’d like to confirm: Would a factory reset be the next step, or is this likely a larger issue that may require further troubleshooting?

Thanks for your assistance.

You're welcome. I'm honestly not sure what other troubleshooting can be done. Factory reset would be my final suggestion. Perhaps someone else has another idea.

Hey I attempted to resolve the issue by wiping the cache partition, but unfortunately, that did not resolve the problem. I’ve also consulted with my service provider, and they suspect the issue may be related to the SIM card. While I’m not entirely convinced that the SIM card is the root cause, it's always a possibility worth considering.

No harm in them swapping it out, I suppose. It may be something wacky that knocks the WiFi loose.
