Galaxy S22

I'm a Pixel user, trying to help a friend with his new Samsung Galaxy S22.

On my Android, I'm familiar with the interaction where I slide up from the bottom to display the App Drawer, showing all installed apps, which I can then drag-and-drop an app icon onto the Android "desktop".

How do I accomplish this on a Galaxy S22?

Thanks.

Pretty much the same way unless, for some reason, the home screen is locked. Then you would have to unlock it first. You would also have to make sure the home screen layout is separated into home and app sceens.

"You would also have to make sure the home screen layout is separated into home and app sceens." How do I do this?

My problem is opening the app drawer. On my Pixel, any home screen, 1 to N (scrolled left to right), accepts a "swipe up"  gesture that begins near the search bar to accomplish that.

Settings/home screen/home screen layout. Tap and select "home and apps screen". Then you will be able to swipe up for the app drawer.

Long press on the home screen
Settings
Home screen layout - Home and app screen
Then you should be able to swipe up on the home screen to access the app
Now just long press and drag to the top of the page and it should open the home screen

Just long press on the app, drag it to either the bottom or the top of the app drawer, let go of the icon when it is in the desired location.
