Wired Headphones not using mic through .3mm port

I bought a Galaxy S22, and saw I needed an adaptor for USBC to .3mm port to use wired headphones. I bought one, but it is not using the mic on them. The phone also doesn't use the mic on my Raycon wireless ear buds. What setting am I missing to not be able to use external microphones?????

What app are you trying to use the mic on?

@Members_DWLOWij You need an adapter with a built-in DAC. Samsung has one which works well and is inexpensive.
