I was using the samsung S22 ULTRA headphone to play on my phone when I noticed that the game started to lag and it clearly was the phone because the came was showing a normal 22MS on the connectivity. Then I decided to restart the 22ultra. That's when everything started to get weird. The smartphone wasn't recognizing the headphones anymore and started to say that it's a "high power usb charger or charging" which seemed weird from a headphone. I tried to connect a couple of more times when the USB literally became really hot and smoking and "exploded".

Very weird and scary situation, I would never expect that to happen to a headphone.

I'm going to call Samsung support and figure out what happened otherwise I'm going to return this smartphone.

Did anyone else have a similar situation?

Thank you

Galaxy s22 ultra - last update installed

(I have video and pictures of the USB burning)

Same happened to the USB part of the headphone, got literally on fire, my entire house was smelling like burnt plastic/wire yesterday. I was scared because I wasn't expecting that to happen to a headphone.

You may have to switch to Bluetooth headphones if that is a reoccurring problem
