Lately I've been noticing that some of the apps I currently have on my S22 Ultra are taking longer load up. How do I fix its performance?

 Hello Maobi,

We would like to thank you for reaching out. We understand you are having trouble with some apps on your S22 Ultra taking longer to load.
Here are some things you can try to help your device perform properly. Check the apps and make sure they are up to date. Try to uninstall the app and reinstall to see if they perform better. If not, make sure your device is up to date. To check your mobile device's software Go to Settings> software update> download and install> follow on screen instructions. When apps slow down clearing the app cache can delete bugs from the app. To clear the cache go to Settings> Apps> select app you are having issues with> tap storage> tap clear cache. May need to repeat these steps for all apps that are loading slowly. The next thing to try is to clear the apps data. This will delete the selected apps data. To to settings>Apps> select app of choice> tap storage> clear data> tap OK.  Run a quick optimisation check on your device this will close apps that are running in the background. Go to Settings> Device care> allow a dianosis and check to see if the score is close to 100. Tap optimise now> results will display> tap Done. Cleaning the device memory improves perfomace if your device or apps have slowed down. Go to Settings> Device Care> Memory> exclude any apps from cleaning desired> tap clean now. Lastly,
using Safe mode disables all downloaded apps and loads only the original software that came with your phone or tablet, allowing you to determine if the issue is caused by an app or with the phone or tablet.
Touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon is displayed. Tap Safe mode to start your device in Safe mode. If you've entered Safe mode successfully, you'll see Safe mode displayed at the bottom of the screen. If the issue is no longer there a third party app is causing this> exit Safe mode by restarting device> Uninstall most recent apps until malicious app is uninstalled. Please, let us know if this helps and specify which apps are performing slowly for further assistance.

I have several app on my device that may be the cause of some apps not opening up quickly. I plan on uninstalling. Will improve my devices performance, allowing the lagging apps to open quickly?

Apps don't usually interfere with one another unless they are somehow linked or open at the same time you want to open another app. As I have said, you need to reserve free space on the phone so apps have room to work freely.  Keep up with your phone optimization by going to device care and choosing to allow your phone to restart at least once a week to auto optimize.  To keep your phone running smoothly, it needs to be restarted at least once a week to clear out memory and junk.

When was the last time you performed an optimization or restarted your phone.  Have you cleared your phone's cache partition?  A cluttered cache will slow things down.  Also, check the file manager to make sure you have enough free space available for apps to run.  You need at between 5-10% of your drive space free to run efficiently.

Yes, you can clear the phone's cache partition - this is the partition where the swap and data cache for phone updates take place.  The individual app caches will have to be cleared individually by going to the storage section of the app's settings.  The major cache hogs are social media apps, web browsers and Google.  You will still need have enough free space for apps to work, downloads, backups and updates to take place, so you may have to determine if there are apps you no longer use or use infrequently.

To clear the phone cache:

1. Power off your phone. Hold Power and vol up buttons until Samsung Logo appears

2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen. There will be a delay while it enters recovery mode.

3. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight ā€œWipe Cache Partition.ā€ Press power button to select this option. Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.

5. When wiping cache partition is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it. The phone will reboot as normal.

I just updated the the software last night, and yet it's taking a long time for this app to open up. How long after the update will it take for this app and many other open up faster and function properly?
