I thought they're not supposed to change your settings when they do updates everything's changed Everything all the way down to my font to not being able to pull down and get to the settings quicker this is absolutely ridiculous I'm getting reminders on notifications which I stopped because it was out of control what was really ticking me off was that I can't have a separate sound for my actual text messages and then a sound for my notification for my social media how are they going to do something like that That's so stupid Even my keyboard stuff has changed what the heck how are you going to do an update and change everything I've got on my phone

That's funny, ask permission to do something that is explicitly in the TOS for the device.  They have the right to update and include/exclude/change anything from their updates that they want.  They own the software and the operating system.  You own the hardware.  If you are not happy with the changes or unable to adapt to them, there are other options out there.  Now, if the update breaks something/causes errors, that's a different issue and most are fixable.

I can't handle the change in the keyboard and text font.

Settings sometimes get changed, either because they changed the location/category of the setting or eliminated that particular setting. Themes and wallpapers get changed because some themes may not be compatible with the new UI and/or no longer available from the designer to be updated.

I concur on all of the changes for the worse that came with this update, but if you have an ap that is critical, like my real time Blood Sugar Monitor, be sure to thoroughly check its functionality. My monitor no longer works at all, and it was latest version, which I've been using from 6 months. This is BS!๐Ÿ”ฅ

Sometimes things get jammed up and cause things to not work properly.  I recommend you try first clearing the phone's cache partition and if that clears things up, you are golden.  If that does not clear things up, uninstall and reinstall your app. Sometimes an app has an update, but it can't update until the old version is uninstalled.  Over the years, I've had to do that with several apps.  The problem is, no one tells you you have to do this. You may have the latest version of your app, but the app may not have been updated for OneUI 7 or Android 15.  Please get in touch with the manufacturer and ask if they have plans to develop a new update, as your app is not working with the new system.

I have been an Android user since the Deoid Incredible all the way up to the S25U .

Do I like when they change things all the time? No.

I do I learn to adapt to the changes ? Yes

I am in my mid 60's, I do not find it difficult to change the things I don't like to a way I can get used to.

I made a whole post about it !

I am totally feeling you I spent the whole hour on the phone with a Samsung provider Tech I told them that I had a discussion with someone else about them changing my settings many of times and I told them they are forcing something I do not want down my throat which where I am 56 years old trying to have to relearn my phone is not that convenient or easy for me and it add stress to my life and consume time which I could be doing something else and this is not the first time that it has happened to me the lady told me there's nothing that she could do but yet she told me that someone will be contacting me in 48 hours she would not have told me this if I did not threaten her that I would go social media and that I am looking to place a lawsuit on Samsung because this is not the first time it has happened and I reminded her that all our conversations have been recorded and I've been with Samsung more than 15 years almost like 20 years and I am be thinking Samsung

56? You are young. It's human nature not to like radical change, but change happens. Some of the changes made were by Google, as this is, before anything, an Android update, so if you are thinking of leaving Samsung, understand you might not be happy with another brand either, and you *still* will have to relearn your phone, as other brands do not have the settings, features and customization options that Samsung has.

I agree there should have at least been a warning that the UI would change dramatically this time. And they should have allowed more time for users to update before forcing the update, so we could at least schedule it for sometime when we would have bandwidth to learn the new settings, or at least not interfere with a busy day when we're relying on our phones. I clicked 'ok' thinking it was like all the previous updates, no big deal, and then was really surprised by the UI change and spent days putting all my settings back to how I like them. In the future just to be safe I'll only be doing updates on Sundays instead of during the week so it doesn't mess with the rest of my week.

Were they supposed to put a billboard up in Times Square? Take out a full page ad in the NY Times? Even if they put a notice up on the members app, were you even using the app prior to the update coming out?  Many users who came to complain were first time users of the app.  Those who were regular users of the app, knew from the leaks and feedback that it was going to be a major change for flagship users - A series users, not so much.  One should always do updates when they have a block of uninterrupted time, not do them on the fly between waking up and getting dressed for work.  Even updates with no major changes can go wrong and you might have to spend some time ironing things out.
